Product Water Footprint
Using LCA, Metsims can calculate water footprint impacts at product level. Impacts include associated with water use, and the subsequent effect on water availability for humans and ecosystems, as well as direct impacts on the water resource and its users from emissions to air, soil and water (e.g. freshwater eutrophication, freshwater acidification, human toxicity, eco-toxicity).
Metsims can also apply WULCA methodology to calculate and assess impacts associated with water use by using water scarcity midpoint method in LCA and water scarcity footprint assessments.
