Environmental Product Declarations (EPD)
An Environmental Product Declaration, EPD, is a standardized (ISO 14025/TR) Type III environmental declaration and a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) based tool to communicate the environmental performance of a product or system. Metsims has so far published over 50 EPDs from various industries and has in-house expert acting as the verifier for worldwide market.

Product Carbon Footprint
The purpose for water footprinting for any product group is to have some evaluation criteria and understand its functional unit, as well as to gain further insight into the product and its water footprint. Thus, producers can conduct calculations and apply management systems according to LCA principles.

EU Ecolabel
The European Ecolabel is the only environmental label that is valid throughout the EU. The EU Ecolabel covers a wide range of products and services, with further groups being continuously added. Product groups include cleaning products, detergents, cosmetics, textiles, paints, boilers, taps, ceramics, appliances, paper products, home and garden products, lubricants and services such as tourist accommodation. Products bearing the Flower logo can be marketed throughout the European Union and the EEA countries.

Product Environmental Footprint (PEF)
The PEF is a multi-criteria measure of the environmental performance of a good or service throughout its life cycle. PEF information is produced for the overarching purpose of seeking to reduce the environmental impacts of goods and services taking into account supply chain activities (from extraction of raw materials, through production and use, to final waste management).
