Orhan Atacan initiated his career as a Sustainability Consultant at Metsims and currently holds the position of Sustainability Manager, advancing his professional journey within the organization. Orhan, with expertise in sustainability strategy development, capacity building, SBTi, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), environmental impact cost calculation, waste management, energy production from waste, sustainable design, sustainable innovation, and digitalization, has served as an executive in numerous domestic and international projects. Orhan has conducted practical Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) training sessions for both industry and academia. Additionally, he has successfully executed LCA and Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) projects for more than 300 products and over 100 EPD projects.Orhan Atacan actively engages in production-oriented eco-design studies aimed at enhancing the environmental performance of diverse processes and materials. Mr. Atacan also serves as a consultant in sustainability communication, strategy development, and marketing. He has contributed articles to various publications and magazines on these topics.Orhan Atacan earned his bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Istanbul Technical University and holds an MBA from Galatasaray University.
